‘Glow Me’ Pineapple Cucumber Mint Juice

This juice not only works by hydrating the skin, but is also soothing to the digestive system, making you feel good all over!

Ok, so the name isn’t the best, but I couldn’t think of how else to say it succinctly! This juice is so delicious that you forget its got some amazing ingredients at work, making your skin and body better with every sip!

Pineapple

Pineapple is a great source of Vitamin C, which is important for a number of reasons. Probably the most common use of Vitamin C is for boosting your immune system when you’ve got a cold or the flu. But it does a lot more. Vitamin C is needed for the production of Collagen and for the growth and repair of tissues. This makes it important in the health of our skin, tendons and ligaments.

Pineapple is one of the only major sources of bromelian which is a protein digesting enzyme that reduces inflammation. And it also contains beta-carrotene, which the body converts into vitamin A (retinol). This helps to support healthy skin and mucus membranes, our immune system, and good eye health and vision.

Cucumber

Cucumbers are considered one of the best foods for maintaining healthy skin. They are exceptionally rich in hydrating fluids, improve anti-oxidant levels in the body and help to inhibit inflammation. They also contain high levels of the mineral silica, which strengthens connective tissues, bone and skin.

This superfood also contains potassium which works with sodium to regulate the movement of fluid and nutrients in and out of cells. Magnesium is usually associated with its benefits to our bones and heart, but along with the array of phytonutrients and electrolytes, the magnesium in cucumbers also helps to maintain energy levels.

Mint

Most of us are familiar with mint in products such as toothpastes, mouthwashes, candies and gums where it is utilized for its refreshing qualities. Because of its naturally soothing properties, mint is also a common and effective remedy for nausea, and is found in cough and cold applications because of its cooling and soothing properties.

But mint is also a natural stimulant that can give you an energy boost. In addition, it helps to stimulate digestive enzymes that turn fat into usable energy, which may help in your dieting efforts!

Apple

Besides being high in fiber, apples are also great for you skin. The presence of copper peptides work to reverse aging effects by thickening the skin, improving elasticity, and increasing the subcutaneous fat layer.

The Vitamin C in apples helps speeds up skin’s cell production and strengthens hair and nails. The presence of B vitamins, like B5 and B9, combat acne and irritation.

Sounds good right?! I know I wouldn’t mind a dose of all of those things. And in such a delicious package too. Its the most delightful way I can think of to take care of my skin!
