Looking for a healthy fall juicing recipe? This carrot parsley juice is the perfect drink to balance some of the unhealthy fall treats you may be consuming this season. 🍭🍫
Who doesn’t love to go trick or treating?! Whether you’re a kid or a begrudgingly responsible adult, it’s inevitable that you are going to consume more treats than a body needs. So what do you do afterwards to ‘clean house’?
I always look to juicing to replenish my body with the nutrients it needs to deal with such a sugar rush.
This juice is one of my favorites. It’s simple and straightforward, but contains some really powerful vitamins and minerals.
What Are the Benefits of Carrot Parsley Juice
Carrot parsley juice is so full of vitamins and good for your health.
Carrot Juice Health Benefits
When you think of carrots, you automatically think of Beta-Carotene and its reputation for improving eyesight.
But recently this connection has been questioned. Does it really help your eyesight?
The short answer is yes, carrots can help with your vision. Beta-Carotene is absorbed in the intestine and converted into vitamin A during digestion. Vitamin A is crucial to good eyesight.
But the question is how many carrots would you need to eat to get these benefits. Probably a lot. Nevertheless, carrots can certainly protect and enhance your eye health.
Beyond your eyes, Vitamin A is doing a lot of other great things in your body. It assists in flushing out toxins from the liver. This is a big deal because one of the liver’s main jobs is to process all the foods you consume including Fats, Carbohydrates and Proteins into glucose.
During the holidays, your liver is working overtime to process all that fat, sugar and alcohol that we’re inhaling!
The antioxidants and phytochemicals in carrots also help with blood sugar regulation, improve immune function and may help to prevent premature wrinkling, acne, dry skin, pigmentation, blemishes, and uneven skin tone. I say yes to that!
Extra bonus… carrots are low in calories, coming in at about 80 calories per cup. And they support good oral health!
Certain minerals in carrots can be antibacterial and help prevent cavities and tooth decay. They also trigger the formation of saliva, which being alkaline, balances out the acid-forming, cavity-forming bacteria.
What Are the Benefits of Drinking Parsley Juice?
It may be tiny, but parsley packs quite a punch.
This deep green leafy plant is rich in chlorophyll, which is an important asset.
Chlorophyll and hemoglobin have incredibly similar structures. In our bodies, hemoglobin is the substance responsible for transporting oxygen in the blood. When chlorophyll is ingested, it helps to do the same thing. Chlorophyll cleanses the body, increases the number of red blood cells and increases oxygen throughout the body.
Chlorophyll is also great for maintaining good colon health. The colon depends on an alkaline environment to stay healthy, and foods containing chlorophyll help to boost the environment towards a more alkaline state, which helps the colon to remain healthy.
Of course you’ve probably heard that parsley can help freshen breath, and it’s high in minerals like manganese, calcium, potassium, iron and zinc.
The vitamin C content (which is higher than oranges!) makes iron absorption more efficient, as well as sending it to the top of the list of immune boosters.
Told you parsley was awesome!
